It started with a jam, a few guest appearances and one simple question: “When are you going to headline your own show?” Orange local Cassie Lloyd spent her pre-kids years singing with a jazz quartet at weddings and events before music took a back seat to family life. After moving to Orange in 2020, a series of musical friendships - including Robbie Hart and Robbie Mortimer - gradually brought her back to the stage. When the idea of creating her own show finally moved from the bucket list to reality, the music of Missy Higgins was an obvious choice. Cassie and Robbie began gathering musicians from their local networks who shared a love of Missy’s songs, and A Tribute to The Sound of White - Missy Higgins was born. A full-band celebration of the songs, stories and unmistakably Australian songwriting of one of the country’s most loved artists - live at Canobolas Dance Hall.
