In 2024, Ballantynes turns 170!

We are delighted to invite you to a special event celebrating the remarkable 170-year history of Ballantynes.

Hosted by family member Philip Richards, this will be a morning that celebrates retail and the rich history of Ballantynes.

Join us for an engaging talk where Philip will journey through the pivotal moments that have shaped our company and share anecdotes and stories of the past.

During this talk, you will:

• Discover the fascinating history of Ballantynes, from its humble beginnings to its present-day achievements.
• Hear interesting stories and anecdotes from key moments over the past 170 years.
• Appreciate the contribution of the community, the customers, staff and suppliers, that have supported the business over the years.

Your ticket is $15 and includes a voucher to enjoy Morning Tea in our traditional Tearooms. You can enjoy this morning tea on the day of the event or any day in August. It will include your choice of Generosity Coffee or Specialty Tea and a slice of “Ballantynes Celebration Cake” – specially created by the Chefs at Ballantynes to celebrate 170 years.
