Learn about the concept, planning and execution of a fully sustainable native garden, while exploring a thriving example at the Museum of the Riverina’s Botanic Gardens Site. Hear from designer and caretaker Matthew Brassil and Environmental Education Officer Christina Reid.

This event is part of the 2025 Seniors Festival which is returning with more than 30 fun, diverse and engaging activities being held between Monday 3 March to Sunday 16 March 2025.

Over two sites, the Museum of the Riverina tells stories about the people and events which have helped shape the City of Wagga Wagga and the Riverina Region. It is responsible for collecting and caring for more than 15,000 objects, photographs, textiles and paper-based materials which help to tell those stories.

The Museum's Botanic Gardens site is a great place to discover the Wagga Wagga story and engage with the Riverina's natural environment, while the Historic Council Chambers site brings an ever-changing roster of major exhibitions, right in the heart of downtown Wagga Wagga.
