Event description

In honour of the Weaving Stories workshops, the program will culminate with a celebration of Aboriginal culture in a special Sky Spirits event at Curl Curl Creative Space as part of the Creative Open winter arts festival.

Participants of the workshops will have the opportunity to be part of a group installation, that accompanies weaves by master weaver Karleen Green and Emu Dreaming a group work by students of Stewart House, Curl Curl.  

Led by local knowledge holder Caroline Glass-Pattison, gather under the stars with live music by Michael Birk, and hear from Aboriginal astrophysicist Dr. Kirsten Banks who will share insights into astronomy from a First Nations perspective.
