A Weekend Away in the Otways

Join us in the magnificent Otways for a weekend of celebration, connection and reflection. 

Twenty years ago, thanks to the passion and persistence of dedicated forest defenders, the Great Otway National Park was created and the towering giants of the Otways were protected.

Over two days, The Wilderness Society and For Wild Places will host a special gathering in this spectacular forest region. You’ll enjoy guided walks through ancient landscapes, hear powerful protest stories by the fire, learn from leading ecologists, and connect with others who care deeply about the future of these wild places.

Expect a relaxed and fulfilling weekend surrounded by nature, community and purpose. Whether you’re pitching a tent in a peaceful bush campsite or settling into a warm and welcoming cabin, your ticket includes everything you need for a memorable escape in the Otways. Enjoy guided forest walks, thoughtful storytelling, hands-on learning and nourishing meals from arrival to farewell.

Ticket options start at $260 per person for scenic forest camping, with private self-contained cabins available from $350. This is your chance to unwind, reflect and reconnect with the wild. A small number of tickets remain for this special weekend — secure your tickets today.

Schedule

Friday: Arrive at your own pace, optional movie screening from 7.30pm

Saturday: Welcome to Country, Stories from the Frontline, Long Bushwalk, Presentation from the Conservation Ecology Centre

Sunday: Citizen Science activity, ocean swim, Campaigning 101, travel home

Accommodation Options

All accommodation is at Bimbi Park

Camping - BYO camping gear, and find a spot amongst the eucalyptus.  Communal bathrooms

Shared Room - Bunk or double bed (couples) in a 2-bedroom, self-contained cabin with private bathroom. Suitable for 1 adult.

Private Room* - Bunk or double bed in 2 2-bedroom, self-contained cabin with a private bathroom. Suitable for 1-2 adults.

Private Cabin* - 2 bunks and 1 double in a self-contained cabin with private bathroom.  Suitable for 3-4 adults.

All meals will be provided, with vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options. Please BYO any additonal snacks and refreshments (including alcohol)

You are responsible for your travel arrangements.  We can support people with carpooling.

*NOTE - If booking accommodation for multiple people (ie.
