What:
Climate change is one of those global challenges that we all feel some responsibility (and anxiety) about, similar to biodiversity loss and the 6th mass extinction.
As environmental educators, we exist in roles where we model our personal commitments in our professional lives to engage citizens actively. In this AAEE Learning Circle we will explore current thinking about climate change education, how to connect to and enhance local school and community initiatives, and how curricula possibilities enable teacher and learner agency.
We will draw on contemporary research, policy, and practice including the AAEE CCE Strategy and participants experiences.
