AAEEBL Digital Ethics workshop: Accessibility in ePortfolio Design and Instruction
Event description
Since mid-2019, the Association for Authentic, Experiential and Evidence-Based Learning (AAEEBL) has investigated digital ethics and ePortfolios via a specially created task force. The work resulted in principles promoting ethical ePortfolio practices to educators, staff, students, and platform providers.
ePortfolios provide opportunities for students to select, curate, and display evidence of learning throughout university. Given their digital modality and their dependence on student creative agency, it is important to center accessible design for both students and portfolio viewers. Join this interactive workshop centered on the Digital Ethics Principle of Accessibility. The workshop will provide you with practical ways to center accessibility in ePortfolio assignments and support students in the creation of accessible ePortfolios.
