AAEEBL Digital Ethics Workshop: Promote Awareness

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Since mid-2019, the Association for Authentic, Experiential and Evidence-Based Learning (AAEEBL) has investigated digital ethics and ePortfolios via a specially created task force. The work resulted in principles promoting ethical ePortfolio practices to educators, staff, students, and platform providers. In this session, task force members will work with participants to take a closer look at the 'Promote Awareness' principle, which takes up data security, privacy, representation, and bias.

This 90-minute session will introduce you to the 'Promote Awareness' principle and help you identify the impacts technology choices can have on data security, privacy, and intellectual property. You will learn strategies for supporting a critical literacy for technology use, e.g. Chat GPT, ePortfolio platforms, data use and storage.
