The process to finance the construction, development and operation of a mining project is never as straightforward as you may wish. Every project comes with a unique set of differences and challenges which means that no two financings will be the same. Projects located in African jurisdictions are often exposed to a higher degree of complexity, meaning that developers often require significant assistance to navigate these challenges seamlessly.
This session will involve a panel discussion about the financing journey from the perspective of boards, financial advisors, banks and lawyers. Members will get insights about key focus areas for lenders, timeframes and how financing structures and terms should be front of mind for all developers aspiring to obtain finance for their project.
