Aaron Hopper In Concert (Cooroy)

Event description

As a soloist as well as part of the renowned duo stringmansassy Aaron Hopper has performed sell-out shows at festivals across Australia and Europe. “A master guitarist both in interpretation and composition” (Andrew Maclean, Time Out), Aaron is an Australian singer/songwriter/guitarist whose wide musical experiences, compelling insights and intoxicating guitar technique are beautifully balanced in his solo concerts by his dry wit and masterful storytelling.

With compositions ranging from dynamically exciting to intimate and pensive Aaron’s music is inspired by his experiences in the desert of the Pilbara, the cool plains of Western NSW and the lush dramatic Tasmanian wilderness. From Celtic inspired fingerpicking mastery to subtlety brilliant instrumental interpretations of jazz classics all delivered with a unique minimalistic orchestral approach that intoxicates the listener with a vertiginous palette of sound.

If you like high end guitar technique, rootsy songs and excellent arrangements you’re going to love Aaron Hopper.

Supporting Aaron exclusively for these Sunshine Coast performances are emerging Indie-Folk duo ‘North and Elsewhere’.
Sisters Hazel and Roanna Law share their songs of social justice, friendship, mental health and Mother Earth with intricately woven harmonies. At 16 and 18 the sisters have been nationally recognised for their songs, winning the ‘Change the World With Your Song’ competition, Music Count Us In and runners-up in the Illawarra Folk Festival Song Contest. 2021 sees the release of their debut EP ‘Finding Space’.
