We know how it goes... during NAIDOC Week, the mob running the shows rarely get to celebrate. So we’re doing something about it. The first of our Awesome Black Monthly parties is a NAIDOC After After Party, a space for all the artists, organisers, and crew to finally relax, breathe, and throw one down with the community.

We’re turning Waywards Ballroom into a Blakfulla jam session - think proppa-mob-country vibes in the middle of the city. Barefoot DJ’s will set the mood before we hand it over to a rotating crew of Blakfulla musicians and friends for an open-stage jam. We’ve got the gear set up, the energy dialled, and some surprise special guests lined up (announcement soon 👀).

This is your space to get loose, space to connect, collaborate, and celebrate.

Awesome Black Monthly is our new series of takeovers at Waywards Ballroom: a playground for First Nations talent and our wider creative fam to test ideas, make noise, and build something wild together. Music, comedy, unexpected collabs - no two nights are the same.
