Award-winning journalist Marc Fennell plunges into the heart of masculinity in Australia, exploring the rise of the online world of the manosphere, the machinery cashing in on the search for what it means to be a man and what’s shaping the next generation.
This event will screen segments from the series followed by a panel discussion that will explore ways to equip young men and boys to engage with healthy models of manhood and how that impacts the wider society.

Host, Sarah Dingle
Sarah Dingle is the Drive host of ABC NewsRadio, a dual Walkley Award winner and has also won the Walkley Foundation’s Our Watch Award for reporting on violence against women and children. Her first book, Brave New Humans, has been translated and published in Japan and China, and formed the basis for the documentary 'Inconceivable', presented by Dingle.
Panellist, Marc Fennell
Marc Fennell is a Walkley-winning journalist, an AACTA-nominated director and one of Australia’s most recognisable documentary storytellers. He is the creator and host of the hit television series and podcast Stuff the British Stole, which screens on ABC Australia, BBC Select and CBC Canada, and has fronted more than 500 episodes of SBS’s iconic nightly quiz show Mastermind.
Panellist, Dr Zac Seidler
Dr Zac Seidler is a clinical psychologist, the Global Director of Research at Movember and an Associate Professor at The University of Melbourne. With over 150 publications and 2 edited books, he is a leading international expert in men’s mental health and masculinity.
Panellist, Dr Tessa Boyd-Caine
Dr Tessa Boyd-Caine is CEO of ANROWS, Australia’s national organisation for women’s and children’s safety research, where she leads ANROWS’ work to strengthen the evidence to prevent and respond to domestic, family and sexual violence, and to support its use across government, policy, practice and public understanding. Tessa’s career has focused on building stronger connections between evidence, services, communities and systems, in criminal justice, health and human rights settings.
Panellist, Daniel Principe
Daniel is a passionate youth advocate and educator. He champions boys across Australia to challenge culture and aspire to live courageous, respectful and empathetic lives. Daniel is a board member of the DART Institute, an ambassador for the Women’s Resilience Centre and an ambassador for the national campaign Consent Can’t Wait. He was recently a nominee for the 2025 NSW Australian of the Year. Daniel is a regular guest on TV, radio and podcasts to discuss healthy masculinity, consent, respectful relationships and the cultural challenges young people are facing. None of these evolving challenges sway Daniel’s confidence that all young people can flourish if we create spaces for them to be their best selves.
