lily fm presents unfurling: a deep dive into all things dark, hypnotic and swirling. 

Recognised for her work in ambient soundscaping and low-end musings, she welcomes the opportunity to create an intentional space for the darker, deeper sounds typically associated with the outer fringes of Eora’s sonic landscape. She offers a considered selection of minimal and deep techno with a focus on rotational and progressive structures.

Leading the charge is France’s Olivia Mendez - label head of Berlin’s Dust In Grooves, and founder of Berlin-based ‘eco-femme’ party series Konvent. Olivia brings with her a deep, minimalistic curation of vinyl-only techno. Her sound is rooted in rhythm, shaped by her early years as a percussionist and dancer, and refined through her immersion in London’s underground scene between 2006 and 2011.

Newcastle’s Marvo 909 will be opening the evening with a collection of slower, hypnotic, left-field techno. A talented producer/DJ, Marvin has operated within the Newcastle and Eora underground for years, with a string of self-releases under his name.
