Abigails Anarchy
Description
Thirty years since the first Abigails Nite Club.
Abigails underground club nights were established in 1996. Once a month, Abigails took over a Brisbane nightclub and turned it into something else entirely — a different theme every time, a stage, a sit-down show, and a room full of people who had dressed like their lives depended on it.
On Sunday 4 October, it comes back for one night. A 30 year reunion not to be missed.
Hostess Eileen Surepuss returns with Charmaine Wentworth, Dick Pump, Alotta Bourbon and the Pacific Princess Dancers, joined by special guest artistes. Anarchy, just when we need it.
Proudly staged at Mirrorball Ministries — an exciting new home for community and original live music in the heart of West End.
The dress code: anarchy, punk or ripped up royalty. Not fancy dress — glamour with something unhinged underneath. Entirely optional, wildly encouraged.
Doors 7pm, finishes 11pm. Monday 5 October is a public holiday, so there's no reason to leave early.
