Event description

Join Louis Enoch, Local Aboriginal Artist for a 90minute art lesson on aboriginal art. 

All materials provided. No experience or skills necessary. Just come and have fun!

Includes your own take home painting (aboriginal inspired art), understanding of aboriginal art in general and from the local area, how aboriginal people use artworks to pass on culture and knowledge to help preserve it for the future.

Louis Enoch is a aboriginal artist from the Cairns area. His totem is of the stingray 'Gapirri'. He has cultural ties to cairns through the Yidinji people, he is also djabugay(kuranda), Kaantju(coen), qandamooka-minjeribah( Moreton bay-Stradbroke island). He has been painting and practising culture for 15yrs plus, teaching culture to vistors, and is an established artist in the community and the tourism industry having sold artworks and artefacts to visitors all over the world.

During this time questions can be ask about aboriginal culture in general and specifically on the local area, all information is authentic.

What you need to bring: 
Water bottle/drink.
Appropriate clothing for making art. 
An open mind and a sense of adventure.
