Aboriginal Heritage Walk - Warriewood Wetlands - 13 Jan 2025
Event description
The Aboriginal Heritage Walk is an opportunity for the public to learn about how the Gayamaygal live and have lived in this Country and the unique endangered vegetation at Warriewood Wetlands.
This walk will be lead by Karen Smith from the Aboriginal Heritage Office and is organised by the Northern Beaches Council as part of the Celebrate Australia Program.
Please note, the Warriewood Wetlands Track has narrow paths, some rock walking and short inclines.Â
There is a dress code required due to the risks of ticks in the area. You must wear a hat, long pants, a long sleeved shirt and covered in shoes with long socks to minimise the amount of skin exposed. The Events Team will also have tropical strength insect repellent that we advise applying before the walk commences.
Meeting point:Â
Warriewood Wetlands - meet at Katoa Close, off Garden Street, North Narrabeen 2101
Maximum capacity of 18 guests for the walk group.
