Aboriginal Ways of learning, what does this look like?
Event description
Come for our monthly yarn to chat, discover and humble ourselves through learning Indigenous cultures and perspectives; moreover, how educators can use culturally centered practices in their chosen learning space(s). These sessions, whilst appropriately defined as professional development, are casual in nature and are a space where I can be a 'Murri' ear to hear your concerns and bounce ideas off.
I'll also take you through proven teaching strategies and activity ideas that implement Indigenous ways of learning; and show how this looks in a classroom setting.
Participants are welcome to contact me anytime: Erin.O'Donoghue@usq.edu.au - if you have any questions or perhaps requests for discussion topics flick me an email. I'm hoping for this to be an ongoing connection that we have with each other; we will lead by example via culturally centered and appropriate inclusive practices.
