Absence and Presence in the Therapeutic Relationship
Event description
Join the Greater Brisbane Creative Arts Therapists as we dive into some great professional development provided by a very experienced Art Therapist - Dani Ruskin.
Dani Ruskin will facilitate an experiential workshop for creative arts therapists (registered) to focus on practical therapeutic skills and a very interesting dimension of the work.
The theme of the workshop is "Absence and Presence", and will explore the 'seen and unseen' in therapy. Dani is basing her facilitation on Winnicotts' concepts on being alone in the presence of another, and Jung’s shadow work.
Skills Dani will help us focus on: being present to clients, witnessing, working in silence, responding to other and reflective practice. The workshop will be predominantly experiential, and will include partnered work, and whole group work.
Please share with your creative arts therapy friends! Wear something comfy to sit on the floor if required.
Materials will be supplied.
There is parking in the yard of the South Brisbane Croquet Club.
This event is funded by ANZACATA.
