Abstract Alchemy: a beginners' workshop, with Ben Randall

🎨 No experience required – just bring your imagination!

Ready to explore the world of abstract art? Whether you’ve never picked up a brush before or are curious to try something new, this workshop is designed for YOU! Come join us for a fun, hands-on experience where you’ll learn the basics of abstract painting while experimenting with acrylics, charcoal sticks, and oil pastels.

What to Expect:

- Warm-up session (40 min): Start by loosening up and freeing your mind with playful drawing exercises that will help you feel confident and ready to create.

- Painting (3 Sections – 30-40 mins each): In three engaging segments, we’ll dive into the process of creating abstract art, focusing on composition, colour, texture, and expression.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have your very own abstract painting to proudly display at home – no prior art experience required! This class is all about exploration, creativity, and having fun while you learn something new.

Ben Randall is an Australian abstract artist based in Sydney, whose work is deeply inspired by the intricate beauty of nature and the complexities of humanity. His paintings endeavour to encapsulate these core themes, using shapes and colours to evoke emotions and provoke contemplation. Ben's work is a favourite of gallery visitors and was featured in the group show, Living in Another World.
