Event description
Bad behaviour doesn’t stop on its own. Learn how to make working in music safer.
To shift a culture from bullying, harassment, and discrimination to one of safety, solidarity, and support, we need to know what behaviour is unacceptable—and feel empowered to take action.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to be an active bystander: how to recognise bullying, harassment, and discrimination when they happen, and how to safely step in and make a difference.
In this 2-hour interactive workshop, you'll be supported through personal reflection, group discussion and engagement with realistic case studies, to help learn how to:
Define the actions and behaviours that constitute harassment, and bullying, and understand the impact of such behaviours.
Explore and define what your individual responsibility might look like when you see harassment, sexual assault, and bullying happening around you.
Learn practical, accessible strategies to support you in speaking up and calling out abusive or oppressive behaviours.
Take a small but significant step towards establishing more inclusive, compassionate, and supportive interpersonal practices within the music and creative arts worlds.
