Travel instructions
There are many public transport options to travel to the Art Gallery of South Australia. The closest tram stop is the 'Art Gallery' stop on North Tce, and the Adelaide Railway Station is located approximately 650m west of the gallery on North Tce.
Entry instructions
The Radford Auditorium is located at the rear (North side) of the Gallery. Please enter via the Fish Gates located on the western side between the Gallery and the South Australian Museum. As Access All Areas starts before the Art Gallery of South Australia opens to the public, a member of our team will meet delegates here and support your entry into the event.
Hazards
The ramp from the Radford to the Accessible toilet is the width of a regular door frame. delegates using large electric wheelchairs may prefer to use the Gallery toilet in the Atrium. The Atrium itself is a high traffic area and does bounce off a lot of noise, and as such can be a high sensory area. The Quiet Space in the Donor's Lounge is accessible via a heavy glass door which is not automated. Access All Areas will have a staff member on the door to help facilitate access. Delegate using larger power chairs may need to go around the marquee to access the quite room.
Toilet location
The Radford Auditorium has one accessible toilet which is close by to the other toilets. There is a small ramp that leads from the Radford to the Accessible toilet. You do need to go through a heavy door to get to the accessible toilet. There is also an Accessible toilet by the Atrium Information desk, and inside the front (North Tce) entrance. This toilet has two manual doors that need opening before accessing the bathroom.
Accessible parking
There is accessible carparking available behind the South Australian Museum. These can be accessed via Morgan Thomas Lane and are allocated on a first come first served basis. Morgan Thomas lane is accessed via a boom gate. To gain entry press the button and inform security that you require accessible parking.
