Travel instructions

The Sydney Opera House is a six-minute walk from Circular Quay, which is regularly served by public buses, trains and ferries to Circular Quay. Sydney Opera House partner, Avis, supports an enhanced pickup and drop-off service for visitors, designed to make the journey to and around the Opera House a seamless and accessible experience. Avis Connect includes an accessible Courtesy Bus for travel between Circular Quay and the Opera House, as well as an accessible buggy service to transport visitors around the Opera House precinct.

Entry instructions

The Utzon Room is located on the Eastern side of the Sydney Opera House, in front of the Joan Sutherland Theatre. It can be accessed through the Box Office Foyer or the Covered Concourse. All Sydney Opera House foyers are accessible, with lifts to the main and western foyers. The public lift to all foyers is accessible from the corridor near the escalators on the Lower Concourse and also in the Western Foyer via the corridor on the Ground Level (at the top of the escalators).

Accessible parking

The Sydney Opera House Carpark is located underneath the building with access via 2 Macquarie Street. There are 11 accessible parking spaces on Level 1, and 12 accessible spaces on Level 6 of the car park for RTA Mobility Parking Permit holders.
