Thursdays on York – Part of the ACCI CBD Activation Project

Thursdays on York, the first event of the Albany Chamber’s CBD Activation Project, will take place Thursday, 25 September at Town Square from 4pm to 8pm.

Thursdays on York will be an evening of fun, entertainment, and amusements for the whole family with inflatables, jumping castles, market stalls and food vans.

This Thursday, we’re planning an Obstacle Course, Mechanical Whale, Giant Tractor Bouncy Castle, and for the under-fives, The Little Pirate Bouncy!

Entry to Thursdays on York is free. Come along to catch up with friends, grab a snack and browse the markets before heading down York Street to enjoy late-night trading and dinner at a restaurant.

If your children would like to enjoy the amusements and activities on the night, there is a $15 ticket that will give them unlimited access to the amusements from 4pm to 8pm on the day. You can buy your tickets online and then take them along on the day to get your wristband and glow wand from the Soda and Candy Van. Tickets will also be available on the day from the Soda and Candy Van.

Please note that the online tickets cost is exclusive of GST & booking fees.

About Thursdays on York:

Thursdays on York will take place every Thursday from September to May (excluding December 4th, 11th, 25th December 2025) and will complement other CBD activation projects that the Albany Chamber of Commerce has in the works.

This event is a pilot program, the first of the Albany Chamber’s CBD Activation Program, the aim being to build something that brings joy, connection, and opportunity to our community.

The weekly event will include amusements, food vendors, market stalls and kid-friendly activities. The primary focus of these events is to get more foot traffic onto York Street and provide family friendly activities in a public space, providing another family focused event where our community can go to have some fun, grab a snack or a bit of food and have a wander through the market stalls.

This program is being run by the Albany Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ACCI), a not-for-profit organisation. Ticket sales cover the costs of the amusements and marketing of this event and the ACCI does not generate any profit from ticket sales. This program is partially funded, with further funding being applied for so keep your fingers crossed for us!

Vendors:
For stallholders and food vendors, the weekly fee is included in your ACCI membership. In a bid to try and make this accessible to as many organisations as we can, we have created the Creative and Mobile Membership ($35/month incl).  If you haven’t joined the ACCI yet, that’s ok, you are still more than welcome, and we would love to have you – there is a $30+GST fee to become a vendor at Thursdays on York.

We’re going to include all vendors in our marketing and promo so we can help connect them with an audience and customers online, and at the event.

T&Cs:

· Tickets are to be single-use only and are nontransferable to another date unless there has been a delay due to weather.

· Adult supervision for all children under 12 is essential. 

· If the event is cancelled due to weather conditions, all tickets purchased will roll over to the next event.

· The fee of $15 + GST and booking fee is for access to the amusements only and is for an unlimited amount of rides/ activities within the timeframe and date of the event that the ticket is purchased for.

· This event is not exclusive to ACCI members- everyone is welcome!

· Ticket prices on the day of the event may be less than tickets bought online due to online sales platform costs.
