You've learned to create connection, hold space, and respond with care. And that foundation has made a real difference — in your workplace, your school, your community.

But some conversations don't resolve on their own.

Some emotions stay high. Some people come back with the same story. And sometimes you leave the conversation carrying something that wasn't yours to carry.

Advanced Practice is the next step — for the moments that require more than presence alone.

WHAT THIS DAY IS

This is a full-day live online training with Rocky Biasi — the first time Advanced Practice has run in years.

It's not a repeat of Level 1. It's a deeper, more practical application of everything you've already learned — with new tools, live breakout practice, and real scenarios from the room.

You'll leave with skills you can use the next day.

WHAT THE DAY COVERS

• WELLBEING — What do you do when the conversation stays with you long after it ends?

We go deeper into self-care as a practitioner — and you'll experience something not covered in Level 1. Tapping (EFT/SET) is a simple, evidence-based technique for settling emotional intensity in the moment — for yourself and for the person you're supporting. You won't just hear about it. You'll feel it work.

• CONNECTION — What's happening in the conversation that has nothing to do with the words?

We move beyond active listening into advanced empathy, pacing, mirroring, and communication style matching — the 93% of communication that happens beneath what's said. Then you practise it. Real scenarios, breakout rooms, structured feedback. This is where listening becomes something more skilled.

• INFLUENCE — What do you do when someone keeps coming back with the same story and nothing is changing?

We apply the Mirror Matrix and Identity Beliefs frameworks to real conversations — not theory, not fictional role plays. Your actual situations. You'll be in the chair, using the tools, getting feedback until it becomes instinct.

• CLOSE — Live coaching demonstration and group coaching introduction

The final session works with real situations from the room so you can see exactly how the skills integrate when a conversation gets complex. Rocky will also introduce a continued group coaching program for those who want to keep practising with support beyond the day.

AFTER THIS DAY, YOU'LL NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE

You won't just listen and hope it helps. You'll know how to guide the conversation forward.

You won't avoid strong emotion. You'll know how to work with it — without carrying it home.

• Alumni rate — $360 + GST ($396) For anyone who has previously attended Accidental Counsellor Training live or online.

• General registration — $500 + GST ($550) Includes complimentary access to the Accidental Counsellor Level 1 online course (valued at $275) — complete it before the day to get the most from Advanced Practice.

Spots are limited to 25 participants. This is a practice day, not a webinar — small numbers matter.

Booking policy: Tickets are non-refundable. Transfers to a future date are available on request up to 7 days prior to the event.

CPD AND PROFESSIONAL LEARNING

This training is suitable for claiming Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours. Applicable to TQI registered teachers and community service workers. Participants receive a certificate of attendance.

Teachers in other states: this training may be claimed as elective professional learning at your discretion. Check with your school or employer.
