This October, the Australian Centre for Child Protection celebrates its 20th birthday, marking 20 years since the establishment of the Centre by the Australian Government and the University of South Australia.
To commemorate our milestone birthday, on Thursday 24 October the ACCP would like to share some of our work, findings and resources with the sector through a 1-day online Symposium, free of charge.
Symposium speakers include:
- Keynote speaker Professor Barbara Fallon and Professor Leah Bromfield on rethinking child protection in Australia and globally
- Professor Simon Hackett and Amanda Paton on harmful sexual behaviours; issues, responses and resources
- Professor Melissa O’Donnell on preventing infant removals
The Symposium will also cover a wide range of additional topics and insights across research and practice including:
- Enhancing perinatal care
- Leading models for Aboriginal-led and Lived Experience co-design
- New insights from linked administrative data
- New evidence and resources to enhance practice
- Working across sectors
- Interdisciplinary practice
