Step into Grounded By Designs, an eco-conscious ceramic studio and workshop space nestled inside MOA & Co.

As part of Australian Ceramics Open Studios, we’re opening our doors for a weekend of slow-making, connection and clay play. Whether you’re curious about clay or simply love seeing the process behind handmade pieces, you’re invited to stop by, browse, and take part in one of our mini creative sessions.

Throughout the day, you can join a Play with Clay gathering, try your hand at Paint Your Piece and decorate a Christmas Ornament to take home later. The studio will also be open for browsing and retail, with handmade homewares and functional ceramics available for purchase.

All sessions are beginner-friendly, in a relaxed and supportive environment, and include materials, use of tools and firing (where noted).

Play with Clay | 10:00am - 11:00am + 2:30pm - 3:30pm
A relaxed gathering to explore and play with clay. This session is about process over perfection. Getting your hands dirty, slowing down, and enjoying the act of making. (Firing not included)

Paint Your Piece: 1 x Christmas Tag | 11:30am - 12:30pm + 1:30pm - 2:30pm
Choose a bisque-fired Christmas Tag and decorate it using underglaze. Your piece will be clear-glazed and fired, ready to collect within 1 - 2 weeks.
$25 per person

Between sessions

Take a moment to browse the studio shelves, chat about the making process, or grab a coffee and something sweet from MOA Coffee Co next door.
