Featuring a Special Guest Appearance

A Room to Return to Yourself

Some albums deserve more than a casual listen.

Released in 2001, India.Arie's Acoustic Soul invited us to consider identity, self-worth, love, and what it means to live authentically.

Twenty-five years later, those questions remain.

For our final Listening Room of 2026, we're gathering 75 guests for a candlelit evening centered around this remarkable album.

One album. Played in full on vinyl.

No phones. No conversations during the listening.

Just music, attention, and the opportunity to hear yourself again.

There's something different about listening to an album from beginning to end, surrounded by people who have agreed to give it their full attention.

No scrolling. No distractions. No pressure to perform.

Just the opportunity to experience the music, notice what it brings up, and share what feels meaningful afterward.

The Experience

From the first record to the final reflection, every part of the evening is designed to create space for deeper listening.

Over four thoughtfully curated hours, guests will experience:

  • A live DJ set by DJ Lion

  • A spoken-word welcome by Tia Naché

  • Acoustic Soul played in full on vinyl

  • A 60-minute guided reflection led by Joshua Fields, with our special guest present

  • A shared group photograph with our special guest

  • A keepsake reflection journal, created in collaboration with Memoirs to Millions

  • Light reception food and thoughtfully designed hospitality

This is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and connect through music.

The evening includes a live DJ set by DJ Lion, a spoken-word welcome by Tia Naché, personal journaling, and guided reflection with Joshua Fields, along with a special guest appearance.

This is a curated listening experience, not a concert. Admission does not include a live musical performance, private meet-and-greet, or individual artist access.

  • When and where should I arrive?

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2026, at The Collective, located at 400 Dexter Avenue N in Seattle. The evening concludes at 10:00 p.m.

Please allow time to settle in and enjoy the reception before the listening begins. Final arrival details will be shared with ticket holders ahead of the experience.

Parking: The venue’s garage closes to incoming vehicles at 6:00 p.m. If you plan to park there, please arrive before doors open. Vehicles may exit after the event.

  • Is this a concert or live performance?

No. The Listening Room is a curated vinyl listening experience, not a concert.

The album will be played in full on vinyl, followed by guided reflection and conversation.

  • What does the special guest appearance include?

Our special guest will be present during the 60-minute guided reflection led by Joshua Fields.

The experience also includes a shared group photograph with our special guest.

This is not a meet-and-greet. A live performance, individual photographs, and personal interactions are not included or guaranteed.

  • Why are phones not permitted during the listening?

Because attention is at the heart of The Listening Room.

We ask everyone to put their phones away during the album listening and guided reflection. This allows us to experience the music without interruptions and be fully present with ourselves and one another.

  • Will food and drinks be provided?

Light reception food is included with admission.

Additional beverages will be available for purchase at the bar. Collector's Edition guests receive a welcome drink.

We recommend eating a full meal beforehand if you prefer something more substantial.

  • Do I need to know the album beforehand?

    Not at all.

Whether Acoustic Soul has been part of your life for 25 years or you're hearing it for the first time, you're welcome in the room.

There's no preparation required. Just come ready to listen.

  • Will I be expected to share during the guided reflection?

No. Sharing is always an invitation, never an obligation.

You're welcome to contribute to the conversation or simply listen and reflect privately.

  • What should I wear?

Elevated evening attire is encouraged. Choose something that feels comfortable, intentional, and true to you.

  • Can I attend alone?

    Absolutely.

Many guests attend The Listening Room on their own. The experience is designed to make space for both personal reflection and meaningful connection.

Come alone, with a partner, or with friends. Everyone is welcome.

  • What is the refund and cancellation policy?

Because The Listening Room is a limited-capacity experience with advance production commitments, all ticket sales are final.

Tickets are nonrefundable, including in the event of a change to the special guest's participation or the evening's programming.

If you're unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another guest by contacting us before the event.

If The Listening Room is canceled by the organizer, ticket holders will receive a refund.

We appreciate your understanding and the commitment that makes an intentionally curated experience possible.
