ACRS QLD Webinar: Queensland's E-Mobility Reforms
Description
E-bikes and e-scooters are now a mainstream transport option across Queensland, bringing significant mobility benefits but also new safety challenges and community concerns. In response, Queensland introduced a suite of nation-leading e-mobility reforms in 2026 covering device standards, rider behaviour, enforcement powers, penalties, age and licensing requirements, and public education.
This presentation will provide an overview of the reforms, the policy drivers behind them, and key lessons from implementation. It will explore how Queensland is seeking to balance safety, accessibility, and innovation in one of Australia's fastest-growing transport sectors.
Please join us for this ACRS seminar presentation by Nick Mackay from the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads.
