Event description

Round Ten of the ACT Community Garden Grants Program is now open for applications. This program is designed to support the delivery of community gardens across Canberra that enhance community places and spaces. Community gardens help provide opportunities for people to grow and consume locally produced food, for social interaction, physical activity, to promote cultural diversity and connect with nature.

$100,000 is available in Round 10 and is split into two funding streams:

  • Stream One includes $40,000 for minor improvements and/or expansion of existing gardens or establishing low-impact gardens. A maximum of $8,000 is available per application.
  • Stream Two includes $60,000 to establish new Canberra community food gardens, or for infrastructure to significantly improve food production in already established food gardens. A maximum of $30,000 is available per application.

The first half of the session (~20 minutes) will provide a brief overview of the program objectives and priorities, eligibility requirements and past recipient projects. The second half of the session (~20 minutes) will cover tips on how to make your application competitive and how they are assessed will be discussed. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the program (or their application) with the remaining time after the presentation.

If you are having difficulties registering, please contact EPSDDCommunityGrants@act.gov.au
