ACT Community Garden Grants Round 12 Information Session
Description
Round Twelve of the ACT Community Garden Grants Program is now open for applications.
This Program is designed to support the development of community gardens across Canberra that enhance community spaces and local environments. Community gardens provide opportunities for people to grow and enjoy locally produced food, encourage social interaction and physical activity, promote cultural diversity, and foster a connection with nature.
A total of $40,000 is available in Round Twelve to support small-scale food production gardens, enhancements to existing food gardens, and non-food-related gardens such as sensory, native, pollinator-friendly, and inclusive community spaces. Grants range from a minimum of $2,000 to a maximum of $10,000 per application.
The first half of the session (~20 minutes) will provide a brief overview of the Program objectives and priorities, eligibility requirements and examples of past recipient projects. The second half of the session (~20 minutes) will cover the assessment process, and tips on how to make your application competitive. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the Program after the presentation.
