ACT Environmental Volunteers - Aboriginal cultural awareness workshop
Event description
This cultural awareness workshop will take a journey through history and reflect on the impact of that history in the present day. It will explore strategies for working on Country and with Aboriginal people and provide participants with an opportunity to reflect on their knowledge, understanding, values, bias, and privileges through humanistic approaches.
This will be the same workshop run twice, please select only one date.
- Friday 31 May - Meeting Room 1, Weston Creek Community Centre (Whitney Pl, Weston)
- Saturday 1 June - Salthouse Community Centre, Braddon (Henty St, Braddon)
To celebrate National Volunteer Week (20-26 May 2024) the ACT Government’s ParkCare and Urban Parks and Places Volunteering Programs, in partnership with ACTNRM, are pleased to be offering a series of knowledge building workshops throughout May and June.
