ACT Government Disability Advisory Council - Information Session
Event description
The ACT Government to implementing a framework to drive disability inclusion outcomes across the ACT Community and ACT public service.
To help facilitate this, the ACT Government are creating the Disability Advisory Council (DAC) and this group will provide advice to the Minister about issues affecting people with disability. The DAC will also work to foster cooperative relationships between people with disability, their families, their carers, relevant organisations, government, and the community. Members of the DAC will draw on their own experience and their engagement with people with disability to provide that advice.
We will be hosting an information session for anyone who wants to learn more about how to get involved!
When: Wednesday, 7th of May, 2:15pm to 4:15pm
Where: SHOUT Meeting Room - Building 2, Pearce Community Centre
Cost: FREE - Afternoon Tea included
The ACT Government is seeking applications from people in the ACT disability community to join the DAC through an Expression of Interest (EOI) process. To learn more please attend our information session.
