Acting on Findings

Research and evaluation are only as powerful as the actions and new relationships they inspire.  Participants will explore practical frameworks and approaches for sharing knowledge in ways that are accessible, relevant, and responsive to community priorities. Through real-world examples and interactive activities, participants will develop skills in planning effective and creative dissemination strategies, selecting appropriate outputs for the right goals, and integrating collaborative analysis with knowledge mobilization efforts. Participants will also be introduced to principles and practices of co-design. and will learn how to collaborate with community partners to design events and dissemination processes that reflect lived experience and support collective action. By the end of the course, participants will have tools, practical skills, and increased confidence to ensure research findings are not only shared but mobilized to support meaningful and sustained community change.

The course will:

1. Build knowledge and applied skills in identifying and using a range of strategies to mobilize people, and learnings from community-based research or evaluation projects.

2. Support participants to develop practical skills and confidence in co-design – including participatory and creative approaches to knowledge sharing with a wide range of partners, interest-holders and teams.

3. Profile real-world case examples and key factors that influenced successful uptake of findings, with an emphasis on accessibility, research/sector context, community relevance, equity, and meaningful community action.

• A 70% refund will be provided for cancellations made up to 2 days before the first class. ​
