Event description

Welcome to Activate 2025!

Professional development and peer exchange are core elements of Activate 2025, and we're looking forward to bringing three bespoke days of listening, learning and doing to the Bowen Basin as part of our Activate 2025 partnership, support by Bowen Basin Bright Minds Partnership and Schools Plus.

Every Bright Minds Activate 2025 school must send at least one educator to the relevant workshop, though we warmly encourage all of Activate teachers to attend if possible. There is NO CHARGE to attend and note that TRS for up to 2 teachers from every participating school is generously covered by Schools Plus.

Together, we'll unpack the all-important program logistics and explore the key pedagogical approaches that underpin Activate. The workshops are also a great opportunity to network and collaborate with colleagues, hear and share best practice and to get set up for Activate success.

  • Tuesday 20 May - Emerald Cluster Workshop at Denison State School
  • Wednesday 21 May - Dysart Cluster Workshop at Dysart State School
  • Thursday 22 May - Capella Cluster Workshop at Capella State School

All sessions run 8.30am-2.30pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided events.

Please note that these events are open exclusively to teachers in schools participating in the Activate Bright Minds in the Bowen Basin project. If your school is not part of this project but you'd like to know about these events, please drop us a line to hello@futureanything.com.

In the (unlikely) circumstance you need a little encouragement to attend in person, check out some testimonials from recent Future Anything Teacher PD Workshop participants:

“The Future Anything workshop reinvigorated my love of teaching! What a day.” Teacher, Catherine McAuley College Mackay

“This workshop [was] exciting and engaging. So much useful and practical information to apply within the classroom.” Teacher, Faith Lutheran College Redlands

“This was an inspirational educational adventure, exploring ourselves in the broader educational and real world contexts.” Teacher, Prince of Peace Lutheran College

Future Anything & the Bowen Basic Bright Minds Partnership acknowledge the generous support of Australian Schools Plus for this project.
