ACTIVATE Bridgetown Greenbushes - A Practical Guide to Managing Conflict

Event description

The Bridgetown Hub, the Bridgetown CRC, the Greenbushes CRC, the Shire of Bridgetown, and Blackwood Biosecurity have joined forces to present a dynamic series of essential capacity-building workouts.

This workshop, presented by LinkWest, will cover dealing with conflict.  It is normal for incorporated not-for-profits and community groups to have some friction, it is even healthy.  But when people are in conflict things can get heated and unproductive. Which puts relationships and reputations at risk.  Being able to effectively manage conflict is therefore an essential skill of management committee members, managers and coordinators. This session will provide an overview of different types of conflict.  We will look at the risks of poorly managed conflict and explore some practical tools for managing conflict to maintain a healthy organisation.

Tea and coffee will be made available at the workshop.

If you would like to attend this event remotely please contact the Bridgetown Hub on the details below to arrange.

The workouts that will be held at different venues in the area from Monday 2nd September to Friday 6th September, aim to strengthen the skills of community and volunteer groups in the area, to help activate Bridgetown Greenbushes. Inspiring presenters, trainers, and capacity-building experts will be in town, to work with groups to ensure that this event achieves its ultimate success.

Keep an eye out for further details, come along to the workouts, and Empower, Adapt, and Thrive.
