Event description

Children’s health and well-being is fundamental for learning and development. Establishing healthy behaviours in the early years has long-lasting effects. Yet, there are challenges in meeting recommended guidelines for physical activity for young children. This workshop will explore the everyday opportunities in early childhood settings that promote physical activity, and draws on the latest research from the University of Wollongong. You will learn about a range of sustainable, playful and engaging approaches that can encourage physical activity in early learning environments, interactions and experiences.
