Healthy Cities Illawarra are offering a FREE school holiday workshop to encourage long-term healthy habits in local Koonwarra 8-12 year olds.

Join us for a session with B's Bike Worx to learn basics of bike maintenance, cycling road safety including a guided ride along the lake and a BBQ lunch. Children should bring their bikes along (if no bike is a barrier for you please let us know and we can try arrange something) .

Established in 1987 by the World Health Organisation, Healthy Cities Illawarra is a ‘glocal’ organisation working to create healthy environments and enabling healthy choices for the people of the Illawarra and Shoalhaven, NSW.

We are dedicated to addressing underlying social, economic and environmental causes of health inequality and working in partnership with local government, health care providers and other community organisations to deliver meaningful health and wellbeing outcomes for our community.

To accomplish this, we help create the infrastructure of a healthy community and sustain positive behaviour change. We design, implement and evaluate evidence-based and cost-effective programs for a range of issues and audiences.
