Event description

This event brings together academia and activism in the same room. Professor Sharon Friel, director of the Planetary Health Equity Hothouse, will be in conversation with Rising Tide activists, discussing the role of academia and activism in addressing climate change and fighting for climate justice. The discussion will follow the screening of Turning the Ship, the 2024 People’s Blockade documentary telling the story of the passion and drive leading to the block the World’s largest coal port. The event is in-person only.
