Activism Through Art: A MLK Day Camp for Tweens
Event description
This workshop is for tweens (ages 10 - 13) who LOVE art-making, inventing, crafts, and bringing their creative ideas to life resourcefully!
At this single-day Camp SCRAP session on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, crafters will engage hands-on with the broad legacy of art as activism around movements for social and environmental justice. The day's creative reuse projects will draw inspiration from artists of the American Civil Rights Movement, as well as historic and modern-day environmental art. Campers will develop a personalized project around an issue that's important to them.
Join SCRAP for a meaningful day of making, community, empowerment, and art!
