What is Adaptive POGOH?
Adaptive POGOH is an adaptive cycling bikeshare program that supports POGOH’s mission to provide Pittsburgh with a joyful, sustainable, and affordable mobility service for all residents and visitors.
Our goal is to remove barriers to cycling access and create more opportunities for everyone to experience the joy of outdoor riding—whether for fitness, recreation, or simply feeling the wind in your hair! By addressing a critical gap in traditional bikeshare programs, Adaptive POGOH ensures that individuals who may not be able to ride “standard” bikes can still enjoy the freedom and fun of cycling.
Operating from the Eliza Furnace Trailhead, our program offers access to a diverse fleet of adaptive cycles, designed to meet a variety of needs. This includes nine unique cycles including tandem bikes, tricycles, hand cycles, and recumbent cycles.
We are especially committed to serving Pittsburgh’s senior and disability communities, ensuring that cycling is accessible to everyone.
Can’t Make It, But Still Want to Connect?
We’d love to explore potential partnerships and discuss how we can connect the communities you work with (ages 14+) to our program. Feel free to reply to this email to get the conversation started, or reach out to Jen Hayes, Adaptive POGOH Program Manager, at jen.hayes@pghbikeshare.org when you're ready to chat.
