Description

The sun's heat sits in the chest long after the sky has emptied. Rivers thin to threads. The land holds its breath.

Created on ADC's 2026 Mature Ensemble, FLUX is an original dance work in three parts that traces a body’s passage through scarcity, refusal and return. Drawing on each cast member’s 50+ years of living, the award-winning Deborah Brown has choreographed a work that moves through vastness and resistance to ask how we are shaped by water.
