Addi Road 12th Annual Public Schools Arts Festival
Description
Support the creativity of our local public schools by attending our 12th annual Public Schools Arts Festival.
Opening in Addi Road's StirrUp Gallery on Friday 6 November at 5:30pm, the festival will run until 15 November.
Local students will create a collaborative artwork for the gallery exhibition and perform on opening night. Bands, ensembles, choirs and dance groups will take to the stage at Gumbramorra Hall.
There will be sculptures, drawings, videos, paintings, drama, dance and music, all made by public school students with the support of their teachers. It's one of the few times young artists get a professional exhibition space and a real stage to work with.
Schools must register here to lock in a spot before 19 October.
Register here in Humanitix for updates on the event as we draw closer to opening night.
The Public Schools Arts Festival is an Addi Road initiative supported by Drawn to Seeing and the Inner City Teachers' Association.
