Event description

What is BIM?

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a digital process used to design, plan, and manage various projects. BIM allows for better collaboration, improved accuracy, and efficient management of resources, reducing errors and costs throughout the project’s lifecycle.

In drainage specifically, BIM can be used to visualize drainage systems, assist in hydrological and hydraulic analysis and clash detection amongst other features.

Come along and learn about how BIM can be used to enhance your drainage design!

    Agenda

    • Digital engineering in an industry case study
    • Design coordination using BIM
    • Drainage design workflow
    • 12d and drainage objects
    • Future applications of BIM and drainage design

    Presenters

    • Michael Bannah (Australian Digital Delivery Lead, HDR)
    • Jackson McKernan (Drainage Engineer, HDR)
