As another year draws to a close, what if instead of immediately asking “What do I need to achieve next?”, we created space to consider a different question: What does success mean to me now?
Business Women Australia invites you to an intimate end-of-year Roundtable Dinner, bringing women together around one table for an evening of courageous conversation, reflection, and genuine connection. Over a delicious dinner with a glass of wine or a refreshing mocktail, we’ll explore how our understanding of success evolves as we grow, as leaders, women, and human beings.
Success can be about achievement, ambition, and contribution. But it can also be about inner awareness and personal impact, alignment, relationships, wellbeing, freedom, purpose, and having the courage to make choices that reflect what matters most.
There is no single definition of success.
One of the most powerful things we can recognise is that we don’t always need to become more, prove more, or achieve more to be enough.
The Wisdom is in the Room
This is not a keynote, panel discussion, or traditional networking event. Our BWA courageous conversations are based on a simple belief: there is extraordinary wisdom already sitting around the table.
Hosted by local leaders Pooi Ming Yeow and Dianna Dawson, the evening provides an opportunity to share, listen, and participate in a meaningful conversation. Together, we will hold space for a peer-led roundtable where every woman has the opportunity to contribute or simply listen and reflect.
Conscious Communication in Practice
The conversation will be guided by Business Women Australia’s Conscious Communication principles.
We speak from our own experience using “I” language.
We listen deeply.
We hold a safe space for different perspectives.
We resist the instinct to fix, advise, or rescue.
We respect confidentiality and allow each woman to find the insight that is meaningful for her.
As we practice these ways of consciously communicating, we build a different kind of space and a genuine conversation, one where we can be curious, courageous, and real in a judgment-free room.
As you reflect on this year and where you are now, what does success mean to you, and how has this definition changed?
A Different Kind of End-of-Year Gathering
Rather than rushing towards another list of goals, this is an invitation to finish the year with reflection, appreciation, and intention.
Come as you are. We invite women from all sectors, professions, and industries to join us at dinner. Non-members are welcome too!
Places are intentionally limited to preserve the intimacy and quality of the roundtable conversation.
Meet Dianna Dawson
Dianna Dawson is an executive leader, mindset, and leadership coach with extensive experience across CEO, executive, and national leadership roles within human services and purpose-driven organisations.
Throughout her career, she has led large-scale organisational growth, transformation and change, while also navigating significant personal challenges that called on her to rebuild, refocus and, ultimately, learn to lead herself first.
At her core, she is a community builder. She believes in the power of people coming together to collaborate, support one another, and show up as their best selves. She champions spaces where everyone belongs, and where sharing, inclusion, and connection are not afterthoughts, but the foundation for meaningful success.
Meet Pooi Ming Yeow
Pooi Ming Yeow is a local leader of Business Women Australia and a respected Adelaide businesswoman. For over 20 years, Pooi Ming thrived in high-pressure corporate and startup environments - leading agile teams, launching financial products, and building innovative solutions from the ground up. She loved the challenge, the pace, and the problem-solving. But over time, a deeper question emerged: What if success isn’t just about outcomes, but about impact? That question changed her path.
Today, Pooi Ming is a Destiny & Purpose Coach - guiding women to live beyond titles, roles, and expectations. She works with women who are ready to stop measuring life by someone else’s standards and reconnect with who they truly are. Her coaching is practical and rooted in real experience - helping clients untangle self-doubt, quiet the constant overthinking, and make choices that genuinely reflect their values. Having walked away from roles that no longer fit, Pooi Ming knows what it means to rebuild from the inside out - and she brings that lived wisdom into every conversation.
