Adelaide, You’re Invited: A Round Table Discussion with Watoto Founders, Pastor Gary & Marilyn Skinner

Watoto Australia warmly invites you to a round table discussion with Pastor Gary and Marilyn Skinner, the visionary Founders of Watoto Church and Watoto Child Care Ministries.

This event provides a unique opportunity for you to hear firsthand inspiring stories of faith and hope with a special focus on ‘Community Transformation’ and ‘God at Work’.

Connect with like-minded pastors and church leaders, and be encouraged by powerful testimonies of how God is moving through communities across the world.

About Gary and Marilyn

In 1984, Gary and Marilyn Skinner planted a local church in Kampala, Uganda to speak hope and life into a nation stricken with civil war. Today, Watoto Church is a cell-based, community church with more than 38,000 people gathering online and in-person each week to celebrate the value and purpose they have in Christ.

In 1994, they founded Watoto Child Care Ministries in response to the cry of millions of children, orphaned or vulnerable as a result of war, poverty and disease. Since its conception, Watoto has placed thousands of orphans in families, empowered vulnerable women to reach and engage in their communities, rescued babies, and kept 30,000 girls in school through encouragement, financial support and the provision of sanitary products and education.

In 2023, Gary and Marilyn handed over the leadership of Watoto to Julius and Vernita Rwotlonyo. Their current desire is to serve the Church at large and passionately believe that it is the responsibility of the local church to solve community problems.

Join us for an afternoon of fellowship, inspiration, and shared vision. We look forward to seeing you there!
