ADHD Information Session with The Smith Family
Event description
ADHD WA has partnered with The Smith Family to provide an ADHD Information session for parents/carers of children with ADHD. ADHD WA's Neuropsychologist Dr Cayla Bellagarda will provide a 1 1/2 hour presentation covering the topics of:
- ADHD symptoms, strengths, challenges, and diagnostic criteria
- ADHD in the brain, and how this is related to ADHD challenges from a neuropsychological perspective
- Understanding executive functioning and emotional regulation
- Focus on helping our kids do well, and what kinds of things might get in their way
- Examples ADHD tools, strategies and accommodations for home and school
This will be followed by 30 minutes of Q&A.
Refreshments provided.
Parking is available outside the centre and there is a pathway direct to the centre. The pathway also has wheelchair/pram access if required.
Free Creche provided - Please email susie@adhdwa.org if you will be utilising the creche. We ask parents to arrive about 10 to 15 minutes early to complete paperwork and settle their child/ren into the creche room.
