Adult ADHD management in General Practice

The aim of this webinar is to update GPs on the management of Adult ADHD in General Practice.

• Dr Pansy Lai: Mental Health GP, Mindsight Clinic. NSW

Dr Pansy Lai has been a General Practitioner for 20 years and over time has found that she has developed a passion and special interest in treating mental health conditions. Pansy combines medication strategies and both short- and long-term trauma-informed psychotherapy utilising person-cantered therapy, neuroscience, dialectical behaviour therapy, internal family systems and acceptance and commitment therapy.

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

. Discuss how to tailor treatment plans within a culturally competent and evidence-based framework.

· Review the roles of specialists, GPs and other health professionals in medical and non-medical treatment of adult ADHD, including stimulant and non-stimulant medications as well as referring for CBT/MBCT/DBT and psychoeducation, to facilitate personalised treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and preferences.
