Adult Autism Assessment Interview
Event description
Join me for a deep dive into how I use the MIGDAS-2 for Adult Autism Assessments
I warmly invite you to this training session designed to deepen your understanding and application of the MIGDAS-2 assessment tool in adult autism assessments. This workshop is for psychologists who are using the neurodiversity-affirming framework in their practice, and are interested in moving into the assessment space.
Key Highlights:
• In-Depth Exploration: Discover the structure and components of the tool, including how to translate data gathered from the tool into a report.
• Interactive Learning: Engage in interactive exercises and view client video snippets to see what the interview looks like in practice. Collaborate with peers to discuss real-life scenarios and refine your assessment approaches.
• Neurodiversity Affirming Approach: Learn how to administer an assessment with compassion and respect, ensuring that your sessions are both accurate and sensitive to the unique needs of your clients.
• Differentiating and Masking: Discern if clients meet the criteria for formal identification of autism whether they are a highly masking and internalised presentation, or if they are a clear-cut and unmasked presentation. Comments on ADHD presentation vs Autism vs AUDHD.
By the end of this training, you’ll feel confident in using MIGDAS-2 to provide a thorough and considered assessment of autism in adults.
Previous attendees have said:
"Esther explains everything is such a great way. I loved how everything was brought back to the criteria in the DSM and loved the use of assessment videos and the analysis thereafter. Really battle to find trainings that do this."
"Loved your pacing, tone of voice, joyfulness. Videos being watched, teaching content then replayed. Good teaching!"
"There’s no other training they actually breaks down how to “do” the MIGDAS in the way that you just did it."
"Really organised and clear presentation, with thorough explanations of the interview and additional questions to ask to get information needed. Slides were also visually beautiful which helps!"
