Take you rides from the bike path to the road with this sociable and friendly workshop. We'll be practising the skills to keep you safe on the road and then put them into practice with a group ride.

Summary

This course is for any adults who already ride but would like to improve their skills and strategies for scenarios found when riding on roads.

  • road positioning

  • intersections

  • hook turns.

  • finding the right route for you

  • laws applying to riders on the road and footpath

  • finding other people to ride with

11:30am-12:00pm Break and BYO lunch/snacks

12:00pm-2:00pm After a half hour break and refreshments we will then do a two hour on-road ride where everyone will get to practise the scenarios discussed in the morning, on local roads. This is a short ride with most of the 2 hours being spent practising skills and scenarios.

It is possible to register for just the first part of the day and not do the on road component. Please be sure to select the session that finishes at 11:30am when booking your ticket.
