Our Adult Program takes on Arena Rock!
Arena Rock refers to the emergence of rock ‘n’ roll as big business in the 1970s and early 1980s. Advances in music production technology, along with the proliferation of higher fidelity FM radio stations, resulted in the arrival of a slicker, more commercial rock sound, popularized by bands such as Journey, Boston, Styx, Heart, Queen, Foreigner, Kansas, Fleetwood Mac, REO Speedwagon, Grand Funk Railroad, Toto, Cheap Trick, and more. These artists, and the growing music industry behind them, brought Rock ‘n’ Roll out of the clubs and into the arenas and stadiums. No matter the bands, the songs of the Arena Rock show are the true stars, and anyone who’s had the joy to sing along with this music in its intended environment will surely agree. This is catchy music that is meant to be turned up loud! Guitarists will find challenging parts lurking around every corner. Keyboard players will be showcased heavily. Vocalists will be challenged with belting leads and rich harmonies. Drummers will learn the true meaning of bombastic, over-the-top performances. Bass players will get their hands on powerful and melodic bass lines which compliment their 6-string counterparts. This is a great show for all instruments!
Our End-of-Season show is a way for our Adult Program to further their education, hone their skills, and rock out on stage! Our stage of choice is The Circuit Arcade Bar. This isn’t just an adult recital—it’s a full-scale rock show packed with energy, talent, and the incredible community spirit that makes School of Rock so special. We’re counting on our students to spread the word and fill the venue with friends, family, and fans ready to cheer them on.

- Will there be food?
Yes, the venue has limited food as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options.
- Can I take video and pictures?
We welcome you to take video and pictures, and please, tag School of Rock in your social media posts! We also take pictures throughout the show and will make them available for download afterwards, but cannot distribute video due to copyright laws.
- Will there be seating?
Yes, there is seating for around 50 people on the back patio. Indoor seating at the bar is available but will be away from the music.
- When should performers arrive?
Performers should arrive about 15 minutes before sound check to make sure they have time to tune up, use the bathroom, etc. Sound check is at 4:45pm.
- Is the event open to the public?
Yes!
- Can tickets be purchased at the door?
Yes. Tickets can be purchased on the web even during the show. If you choose to pay at the door with cash, please know that the charge will be $11 as no change is given.
- What time should guests arrive?
Doors open at 5:30pm. All attendees not performing should show up between 5:30 and 6pm.
